JALT Vocabulary SIG Research and Conference Grants

The JALT Vocabulary SIG is pleased to once again announce the availability of two types of grants for
2016. The first is a research grant, designed to provide funding for a vocabulary-related research project.
The second is a conference grant, intended to provide funding for travel, lodging, and conference fees
for a vocabulary-related presentation.
  • A total of three grants of either 50,000 or 100,000 yen may be awarded in 2016 depending on the number of viable applications.
  • Grants are available for all JALT Vocabulary SIG members. Those without access to institutional assistance and research grant funding from their place(s) of employment will be prioritized.
  • The grants are specifically designed for part-time and full-time instructors working from the kindergarten to tertiary levels, as well as individual instructors working for themselves, companies, or language schools. Instructors who are enrolled as part-time or full-time graduate students are also eligible.
  • The application deadline is 23:59 (JST) December 15, 2017.
